Tiger Woods driver for 2009 was the Nike SQ Dymo driver that comes available with or without STR-8 Fit adjustable fitting system. This system allows the owner to adjust the loft and lie of their driver to suit their swing. This club introduced relatively new technology and allows the weekend golfer to do something that was only offered to pros being fit for clubs.
This golf club also uses technology that Nike calls square geometry, which essentially makes the head mass shaped like a square block. This is done to add stability to the club. The weight pockets are positioned at the rear toe and heel. These pockets will adjust as you adjust the loft and lie of the club (if you have the STR8-FIT version). If the club is adjusted for high loft it will have a draw bias.
This club is designed for those who are looking to shape their shots. The version used by Tiger Woods is a 380 cc version. Nonetheless, the 460 cc version sold in stores should provide the best balance between shapeability and forgiveness for most golfer.
Nike did introduce a sister club along side this one that featured more forgiveness for the higher handicap players or for those who struggle a little with solidly connecting with their driver. The sister club is the Nike SQ Dymo2 driver.
