Believe me, there is some putting advice that every golfer should be aware of. Its all below.
So without further ado...
10 Golf Putting Basics Tips
Tip 1 - (Back of the Lead Hand Faces Target): A putting grip fundamental of almost every great putter is aligning the back of their lead hand towards the target. It is also a fairly common golf putting grip basic to align the palm of the back hand toward the target, as well.
Tip 2 - (Ball Positioned in the Middle of Your Stance): Another golf putting principle used by most great putter is to position the ball in the middle or slightly forward of the middle of their golf stance. My putting advice to you is to find your ideal ball position and stick with it. See this article for the
Jack Nicklaus Exception To This Rule.
Tip 3 - (Hit the Ball with the Putter Sweet Spot): An obvious golf putting basic right! You would be surprised at how many golfer don't follow this golf putting advice. Most amateurs don't consistently hit with the putter sweet spot, which leads to putts with poor direction and distance. See these articles:

Tip 4 - (Charge Easy Putts & Die Hard Putts): You don't want easy putts to come up short and you don't want hard putts to go way past the hole. Therefore, this rule is born out of logic. Generally, a hard putt is one that is long, on a fast green, downhill, and/or breaking hard. Nonetheless, what is easy or hard for you will change over time. charge putting and die putting.
Tip 5 - (Leave Yourself an Easy Putt): You can't argue with this fundamental of putting, but many golfers don't observe this golf putting principle. Look, golf is a game of trying to make the current shot or trying to make your next shot as easy as possible. So, what's an easy putt? It's a 1) short, 2) uphill and 3) minimal breaking putt. Try to get as many of those factors as reasonably possible.
Tip 6 - (Press Your Hands Forward): Pressing the hands forward just before taking the putter back, triggers a smooth backswing for many golfers. This will also encourage you to take your putter head back first ahead of the grip. However, this putting advice is not for everyone. See this link for
alternatives to the forward press.
Tip 7 - (Align Body Parallel To Target): Shoulders, arms, knees, hips and feet should be aligned parallel to the target line. This is a very important putting tip basic. Be very exact about this process. It will lead to long-term success with putting.
Tip 8 - (Stay Relaxed): Do Like Jack Nicklaus. Do not take your putt until you feel relaxed over the ball and ready to make a relaxed putting stroke. Tight muscles will kill your feel and stroke affecting distance and direction. Of all the basics of putting, make sure you follow this golf putting principle.
Tip 9 - (Don't Look Up): Looking up before making contact with the ball is a definite problem for your putting. First your eyes don't remain fixed on the back of the ball. Second, your head movement throws your putter off of its pathline. Neither is good for your putting stroke.
Tip 10 - Develop a Consistent & Effective Putting Approach & Pre-shot Routine: This is the last but not the least putting tip. In order to be consistent with your putting you need to have a putting approach and pre-shot routine that allows you to read the greens, set up, and stroke the ball the same way all the time.
